Note: Menus are for the week of July 12-16 and are subject to change without notice. Choice of beverage is included with meals.


The lunch menu for the Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:

Monday: Glazed ham with pineapple, sweet potatoes, broccoli, bread, baked apple.

Tuesday: Hot beef sandwich, green beans, mashed chive potatoes, green beans, mixed fruit.

Wednesday: Corned beef with cabbage, carrots, onions and potatoes, rye bread, banana, vanilla pudding.

Thursday: Tortellini with meat sauce, spinach, garlic cheese bread, mandarin oranges.

Friday: Roast turkey, stuffing, gravy, stewed tomatoes, cranberry sauce, “pumpkin something.”


The dinner menu for the Silver Springs Senior Center, 1050 Pyramid Ave.:

Monday: Veal cutlet, mashed potatoes with gravy, stewed tomatoes, orange slices.

Tuesday: Chicken patty on a roll, cream broccoli soup, lettuce, tomato slices, fresh apple, salad bar.

Wednesday: Polish sausage, steamed cabbage, peas and corn, peaches.

Thursday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, apricots, biscuits.

Friday: Shrimp salad, stuffed tomato, coleslaw, peaches, saltine crackers.


The Storey County Senior Citizens Center is on the corner of E and Mill streets in Virginia City:

Monday: Cheeseburger, macaroni salad, mixed veggies, fruit.

Tuesday: Traditional Greek salad, cottage cheese with pineapple, wheat bread, seasonal fruit.

Wednesday: Ribs, garden salad, potato salad, seasonal fruit, cake and ice cream.

Thursday: Lemon chicken breast, pasta, asparagus, peas and carrots, fruit sauce.

Friday: Cheese and egg scramble, sausage patty, biscuit, fresh fruit.


The Yerington Senior Center is at 117 Tilson Way:

Monday: Sirloin tips with noodles, green beans with tomatoes, carrot-raisin salad, fruit dish, soup.

Tuesday: Chef salad, fruit, french roll, peach cobbler, soup.

Wednesday: Stuffed baked potato, pineapple cottage cheese salad, bread, cake, soup.

Thursday: Chuckwagon steak, rice pilaf, frozen peas, beet salad, cook’s choice dessert, soup.

Friday: Picnic in the park – hamburgers, macaroni salad, baked beans, watermelon, cookies.


Lunch is served on weekdays at Fernley Center, 1170 W. Newlands Dr.:

Monday: Pot stickers, Oriental salad with sesame dressing, nectarines, egg roll, fortune cookie.

Tuesday: Turkey sandwich, Jell-O fruit salad, cucumber and onion salad, cookie.

Wednesday: Stuffed cabbage, french bread, rice, Tuscany-blend veggies, apricots.

Thursday: Liver and onions, spinach, mashed potatoes with gravy, mandarin oranges, bread.

Friday: Corned beef and cabbage, carrots, red potatoes, fresh fruit, rye bread, pie.
