Melverd Adamson

Born July 3, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Melverd (Hugo-Pop) Adamson and

Ethel (Micky) Hailey Adamson. Departed November 3, 2007 at Utah Hospital in

Provo, Utah.

He is survived by his wife, Rosie Barela Adamson (God’s Earth

Angel). Children: Melverd Rusty (Judy), LaPine, Ore., Pamela Grenke, Ely

Nev., Martin Marty (Christine) Genoa, Nev. Marie Adamson, Palm Springs,

Wagner, all of Ely, Nev. A very special niece, Jayme (Marc) Krueger, of

Ansbach, Germany; brothers; Gerald “Jerry” (Kay) Adamson, Dayton, Nev.,

Merrill “Butch” Adamson, Carson City, Nev., a special friend Jim McHugh,

Lovelock, Nev. and numerous grand and great-grandchildren and nieces and

nephews.

His most precious times were spending those with family, grandchildren,

great grandchildren in which each had their special names appointed by him

in his love. The same way they had a special name for him, “Popsy-Pops”.

His father and mother preceded him in death early in his life.

He participated in motorcycling and dragster racing in Pomona, San Gabriel

County, California, holding several quarter mile records. He enjoyed

tinkering with all mechanical things. He was an active outdoorsman whose

interest included hunting, fishing, boxing, football and most

of all NASCAR (24)!

Bud proudly served with the Nevada Dept. of Corrections at both Nevada State

and Ely State Prisons until retirement. He also bartended in Las Vegas and

Carson City, Nevada. He was active in many organizations: SNEA, Carson City

Lodge Order of Moose, charter member, ancient and Honorable Order of E.

Clampus Vitus, SGV, Gear Jockeys Car Club.

Bud will be held close in heart by his loving wife, Rosie, family members

and his many friends who are honored to have known him. A Celebration of Life on Dec. 15, at the Eagles Lodge in Carson City 12 – 3 p.m.
