Clyde G. Ibsen went home on Oct. 26, 2010, at his Carson City residence with his family by his side. Clyde was born Dec. 16, 1934, in West Orange, N.J. He was raised by his loving father Clyde. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1955. Afterward, he worked for the State of Nevada as a computer programmer, retiring after 18 years. Clyde kept very busy with things he loved to do such as boating and fishing, refereeing sporting events, driving a taxi, delivering airport luggage, working at 7-11, taking his dogs for runs, giving gifts to others, being a true New York fan (Yankees, Giants, Knicks), and much, much more.
Among his survivors are his loving wife of 35 years, Annette Ibsen; sister Joan Harootunian and brother in-law George; nephew George Jr. and niece Barbara; three daughters: Robin Plummer and her husband Jimmer, Kendall Buscay, Kelly Wulfekuhle and her husband Pat. He had seven grandchildren that he loved and spoiled: T.J., Jeremy, Cody, Nicole, Avery, Taylor, and Matthew. He also had seven great-grandchildren.
Clyde will always be remembered for his unconditional love towards his wife and family, his willingness to help others, the way he inspired others, his always positive attitude towards life, his addicting smile, and his wonderful sense of humor.
