Obituary: Stephen Lytle
Stephen Lytle, 62, passed away March 8, 2010 in Reno. He was born Jan. 9, 1948 to George and Verna Lytle in Casper, Wyo.
Steve was in the United States Navy from 1965-1993, retiring as a Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman.
Steve was an ever present source of comfort and counsel always knowing what to say, what to do and was always there for not only his family and friends but for anyone else in need. He was loved and respected by his family and anyone who came into his life. We will all love and miss him forever, but we will find solace in knowing he’s finally free from the disease he fought for the last two years with courage and determination, to continue the one thing he loved the most, caring for his family.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Robert and Kenneth Lytle.
He is survived by his wife Ann; children Adrian Roberts, Kirsten Francki, Richard Lytle, Shannon Stewart (Adam), Matt Nelson, Kendall Munoz (Andy), Lindsay Wise (Noble), Jodi Lytle; brothers Frank Lytle (Faye), George Lytle (“Tree”), and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom meant the world to him and filled his life with love an pride.
A memorial service, with full military honors, has been scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 14 Veterans Way, Fernley, NV, under the direction of Ross, Burke and Knobel Mortuary in Reno, NV.
