Halloween party Sunday at Scolari’s

The public is invited to the UTF Halloween Party from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the Scolari’s Shopping Center in Carson City. There will be a costume contest, a pumpkin carving contest, games and free prizes. Costumed attendees receive a free goodie bag. Call 575-6077.

Evergreen to hold trick-or-treating

Evergreen Mountain View Care Center will be holding a “Trick Or Treat Ghoulish Fun Night” from 5:30-7 p.m. Monday. Parents may bring their children to trick or treat. Call 883-3622.

Music star to perform at Comma Coffee

Stephen Stills of Crosby, of Stills and Nash fame, will be offering a half-hour concert for U.S. Senate Democratic nominee Jack Carter at Comma Coffee today.

Jay Jones, press secretary for Carter, said Stills intends to perform four to five songs on behalf of his friend Carter, beginning at 1:30 p.m. following the Nevada Day Parade. Carter will walk the parade route as well as attend Stills’ concert. The local band Moonlight Express will also perform.

Safe trick-or-treating at Children’s Museum

The Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada will be holding trick-or-treating and activities from 6-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the museum, 813 N. Carson St. Children are $3 each and adults are free. Call 884-2226.

Medallion drawing date changed

The drawing for the limited-edition silver medallion will be tonight at 9 p.m. at the Nevada Day Basque Dinner at Silver Oak Golf Club. Raffle tickets are $5 for one ticket or $20 for five tickets and may be purchased at Silver Oak Golf Club or the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center Auxiliary Gift Shop. Tickets will be sold during the Basque Dinner. This raffle is to benefit the new Carson Tahoe Cancer Center. The medallion can be viewed at the club house. Call 445-5142.
