The Sexual Assault Support Services at Crisis Call Center needs volunteer victim advocates for its 24-hour service to support victims of sexual assault. Training begins April 25. Bilingual advocates are needed, but anyone over the age of 18 can be an advocate. Call 784-8085.

Lecture on first lady gowns to be Tuesday at Nevada State Museum

Nevada State Museum curator of textiles Jan Loverin will give a presentation on the history of “Nevada’s First Lady Gowns” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Nevada State Museum. Dawn Gibbons’ inaugural gown by Armani will be on display.
