— Lyon County School Board trustees meet 7 p.m. at Smith Valley Schools in Smith.

— Douglas County Planning commissioners meet 1 p.m. in the Douglas County Administrative Building, 1616 Eighth St., in Minden.

— The Downtown Carson City Business Association will meet at 5:30 p.m. at Comma Coffee at 312 South Carson Street. New member recruitment and committee formation will be discussed.

— Nevada Artists Association meets at 1:15 p.m. at the NAA Gallery, 499 W. King St. Featured guest speaker is Luverne Lightfoot, who will demonstrate her approach to pasted “painting.” Free, open to the public. Call 882-2512.
