Cheers & Kudos: Browsers Corner Book Store celebrating a year

Browser’s Corner Book Store, located across the street from the Carson City Library at 711 E. Washington St., recently held a grand opening event. Shown from the left are Phyllis Patton, Library Director Sena Loyd, Frieda Ford and Suzanne Pupacko. The store is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

It is hard to believe that it has been a year since we opened Browsers Corner Book Store at its current 711 E. Washington St. location.

Browsers Corner Book Store, which is operated by the Friends of Carson City Library, will be celebrating its first year in business on Monday, April 13.

We would like to thank the community for being so supportive. You generous donations provide us the inventory to stock five rooms full of books. We appreciate your patronage of the store and your participation in our sales, food drives and other activities.

Store management would also like to take this opportunity to recognize all the hard work of our member volunteers as they keep the book store fully stocked and looking neat and cheerful at all times. We could not run the store without all of these wonderful people!

Thank you all for a very successful first year.

Come and join us for refreshments and coupons all day Monday, April 13!

Phyllis Patton

President, Friends of Carson City Library
