Obituary: Floyd J. Sutton

Floyd J. Sutton, 82, a Walker, Calif., resident for the past 31 years, died Nov. 20, 1999, in Reno. He was born March 31, 1917, in Menlo, Kan., to Walter and Ruth Griebel Sutton.

He married Willetta M. Burkett March 31, 1937, in Phillipsburg, Kan.

Before moving to Walker, he lived in Long Beach, Calif.

Mr. Sutton was an engineer for the Long Beach Fire Department for 26 years. He was a member of the Antelope Valley Lions Club in Walker. He enjoyed fishing, camping and loved working with his hands.

Among his survivors are his wife, Willetta M., of Walker; son, Gary L., of Henderson; daughter, Sharon K. Cook, of Walker; sisters, Janice Barth, of Longmont, Colo. and Connie Franklin, of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

No service will be held.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry’s Crematory.
