Obituary: Richard Linn Morgan

Richard Linn Morgan, 71, a Carson City resident for the past 15 years, died Dec. 11, 1999, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born March 22, 1928, in Grantsville, W.Va., to Amos E. and Mary Susan Hamilton Morgan.

He received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va., and a law degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

He married Barbara Capet Sept. 13, 1952, in Bridgeport, W.Va.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in several places, including Florida, Oklahoma and Georgia.

Mr. Morgan was an attorney/legislative advocate. He was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Carson City.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothea Kunzleman.

Among his survivors are his wife, Barbara, and daughter, Kimberly Morgan J.D., both of Carson City; son, Richard Randall, M.D., of Edmond, Okla.; sister, Mary Correan Davis of Alexandria, Va.; and three grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.

Cremation will be at Walton’s Carson Sierra Crematory.
