Obituary: Warren Hampton ‘Pat’ Patton

A graveside service for Warren Hampton “Pat” Patton, 86, a Genoa resident for nine months, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Happy Homestead Cemetery and South Lake Tahoe.

Mr. Patton died April 23, 2002, at his home. He was born Jan. 26, 1916, in Healton, Okla., to Wade and Pearl Gordon Patton.

Before moving to Genoa, he lived at South Lake Tahoe.

Mr. Patton was a season ticket holder for the San Francisco 49ers for 54 years since 1948. He enjoyed watching the golfers at his Genoa Lake Golf Course from his deck and his room.

He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn in October 1986.

Among his survivors are his son Dal of Reno; daughters Gayle Woodcock of Genoa and Linda Patton of Chico; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
