People gather to support temple
A large turnout from faith communities, civic leaders and concerned citizens throughout Northern Nevada is expected at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 5, at John Ascuaga’s Nugget in a showing of community support for Reno’s Temple Emanu-El.
On Nov. 31, the temple was the target of a hate crime when it was fire-bombed. Six self-proclaimed Neo-Nazis stand accused of the crime.
Gov. Kenny Guinn will join other elected officials and law enforcement representatives in the hourlong program that will feature inspirational messages and music.
For information, call the Temple Emanu-El at 825-5600.
