The following people were taken into custody by the Carson City jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
— James W. McMasters, 68, of Carson City, no occupation noted, was arrested at 3:38 p.m. Friday in the 3500 block of Cherokee Avenue for the investigation of assault with a deadly weapon. Bail was set at $20,000.
— Michael Stirk, 33, of Carson City, a construction worker, was arrested at 8:15 p.m. Friday at Desatoya and Ladera drives for the investigation of false imprisonment, burglary and domestic battery. Bail was set at $25,000.
— A 32-year-old Carson City woman, the victim of the alleged battery, was arrested at the same time and place for the investigation of having an open container in her vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant out of Carson City Justice Court for the investigation of a parole violation.
— A 25-year-old Carson City tile setter was arrested at 9:55 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of South Saliman Road for the investigation of second-offense domestic battery. Bail was set at $5,105.
— An 18-year-old Carson City landscape worker was arrested at 3:42 a.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of Green Drive for the investigation of first-offense driving under the influence, minor in possession of alcohol, no valid driver’s license and littering. Bail was set at $1,980.

— Alan R. Beck, 33, of Carson City, an automotive machinist, was arrested at 12:36 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of West College Parkway on a warrant out of New River Township Justice Court for the investigation of the sale of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $5,000.
