Jury finds woman guilty of storage unit burglary

A Carson City jury on Monday found a woman guilty of stealing a stereo from an east Carson City storage unit.

The jury deliberated for less than a half-hour before finding Mary Reasoner, 30, guilty of one count of burglary. She faces one to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 when sentenced March 20.

According to court records, Reasoner, accompanied by her cousin, Michael Kenneth Pierson, was captured on surveillance burglarizing a storage unit on South Sutro Terrace in August.

Pierson, 41, pleaded guilty to attempted theft and is serving one to four years in prison, according to Nevada Department of Correction records.

Reasoner remains free pending her sentencing.
