Race series continues at Northstar Resort

The third annual Northstar Snowshoe Social & Race Series for runners, walkers and kids is open to all ages and ability levels, so come on out and enjoy the snow and fresh air.

A Northstar Resort photographer will be onsite to memorialize the day, providing participants the option to purchase photos, and a casual lunch will follow each race. Atlas snowshoe rentals, including performance snowshoes, will be available at the Cross-Country Center.

The first race will be 11:30 a.m. Dec. 19 on a course designed by Peter Fain, Atlas Snowshoe Racing Team member.

The 5K fun walk/run will start and finish at the Northstar Cross-Country Center. It is a constant rolling course incorporating groomed and ungroomed single-track sections, an adventurous challenge for fitness and orienteering skills.

The 10K competitive run also starts and finishes at the Northstar Cross-Country Center and incorporates two loops of the 5K course. It serves as a qualifier for the overall series crown.

There will also be a 500 meter and 1K race for kids.
