Richard C. Clements
Richard C. Clements, 74, a 13-year Silver Springs resident, died Jan. 20, 2006, in Carson City. He was born Oct. 19, 1931, in Mehanicsville, Iowa, to Kenneth William Clements Sr. and Sabedia Catherine Reed.
Before moving to Silver Springs he lived in Norwalk, Calif.
He was an aircraft mechanic. He retired in 1993 after 291Ú2 years with McDonnell Douglas Aircraft.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed model rockets, working on older cars, antique radios and traveling.
Among his survivors are his wife of 53 years, Bessie Mae; son, Richard Jr. of Fernley; daughters Pam Horning of Lakewood, Calif., Denise D’Amore of Long Beach, Calif., Ann Johnson of Anaheim, Calif., and Michelle Clements of Downey, Calif.; sisters Viola House of Oxford Junction, Iowa, Laurie Mellows, of Hubbard, Iowa, Sabedia Kean, of Yorba Linda, Calif., Cecilia Tissinger, of Durant, Iowa, and Angela Techau of Chandler, Ariz.; brother, John of Silver City, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Walton’s Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
