Richard L. Fisher
Richard L. Fisher, 77, died May 6, 2007, at his Carson City home.
Mr. Fisher was born Nov. 1, 1929, in Austin, Minn., to Charles and Marie Fisher.
He attended college in San Francisco.
He married Nancy Woodward on July 18, 1948.
Mr. Fisher worked in auto body repair in San Francisco and retired from Don’s Mobile Glass in Modesto, Calif., before moving to Nevada.
He was a member and one-time president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Newhall, Calif., an assistant Boy Scout master, a member of the Newhall Golden Nuggets and was head usher and Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Fatima in Modesto, Calif., and at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. He also volunteered for Hot August Nights for seven years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, camping, classic cars and auto racing.
Among his survivors are his wife of 58 years, of Carson City; sons and daughters-in-law Charles and Janet Fisher of Reedley, Calif., and Michael and Yvette Fisher of Washoe Valley; son Russell Moller-Fisher and partner Micheal of Lakewood, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law Betty and Dean Johnson of Dayton; four brothers; one sister; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
