The lunch menu for the Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Drive:
Monday: Lasagna, garlic bread, squash, orange juice.
Tuesday: Poached fish or chicken, cauliflower with cheese sauce, banana, berries in a cloud, wheat bread.
Wednesday: Baked stuffed pork chop, baked yam, garden salad, cinnamon apple sauce.
Thursday: Hot turkey sandwich with gravy, au gratin potatoes, broccoli, oranges, biscuit with jam.
Friday: Liver and onions or Salisbury steak with gravy, whipped potatoes, tomatoes vinaigrette, peaches, whole -wheat bread, Mexicorn.
The menu for the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane:
Monday: Spaghetti, green salad, broccoli, garlic bread, vanilla pudding.
Tuesday: Turkey-and-cheese sub sandwich, lettuce, tomato, onion, potato chips, orange wedges, brownie.
Wednesday: Chicken-fried steak, beet salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, Brussels sprouts, ice cream with strawberries.
Thursday: Barbecued chicken, broccoli salad, baked beans, biscuit, fresh fruit.
Friday: Beef patty on wheat bun, baked beans, green-leaf lettuce, tomato, red onion, cantaloupe.
The lunch menu for the Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:
Monday: Spud stuffer, ground beef, cheese, onions, carrots, sour cream, peaches, fruit juice.
Tuesday: Chicken pasta primavera, salad, garlic bread, orange and pineapple with Jell-O.
Wednesday: Tangy meatballs, rice pilaf, squash and zucchini, apple-orange cup, bread with butter, cookies.
Thursday: French dip, mixed veggies, pasta salad, apple crisp.
Friday: Breakfast, 9-10 a.m. – waffles with strawberry topping, scrambled eggs, ham, V8 and orange juice.
The menu for the Silver Springs Senior Center, 1050 Pyramid Way:
Monday: Burger and fries, root-beer float, baked beans, carrot salad, mixed fruit.
Tuesday: Sweet-and-sour chicken, chow mein noodles, banana, stir-fry veggies, egg roll.
Wednesday: Pot roast, carrots, onion, celery, three-bean salad, mashed potatoes with gravy, apple.
Thursday: Chef’s choice luncheon.
The menu for the Fernley Senior Center 1170 W. Newlands Dr.:
Monday: Spaghetti with meat sauce, spinach salad, garlic bread, pears and Jell-O.
Tuesday: Summer stew, mixed veggies, green salad, cornbread with butter, orange, cookie.
Wednesday: Sweet-and-sour chicken with bell peppers, onions and carrots, stir-fry veggies, rice, pineapple, brownies.
Thursday: Taco salad, beet and onion salad, tortilla chips, strawberry shortcake.
Friday: Fish sandwich, coleslaw, tater tots, mixed fruit.
The Storey County Senior Citizens Center is on the corner of E and Mill streets in Virginia City:
Monday: Hamburger with tomato, lettuce and onion, baked beans, cantaloupe.
Tuesday: Fettuccine Alfredo, salad, garlic bread, Bavarian cream.
Wednesday: Ernie’s ribs, pork and beans, crunchy cabbage salad, oven- baked potatoes, pie.
Thursday: Chicken Cordon Bleu, mandarin orange salad, Brussels sprouts, peach cobbler.
Friday: Beef stroganoff on noodles, green bean supreme, sliced tomatoes, yogurt with fruit.
