‘Street Vibrations’ set to roll into Carson this weekend

Staff report
BRAD HORN/Nevada Appeal Elvia Moreno, of Santa Cruz, Calif., waits for her group of riders to depart the Harley-Davidson dealership in Carson City on Thursday.

This weekend could prove to be hog heaven for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts.

On Friday, Carson City Harley-Davidson begins a weekend of events designed for those most passionate about motorized two-wheeled transportation.

“Spring Street Vibrations” is part rock concert, part dealer demonstration and part athlete meet-and-greet.

The fun begins Friday at the Harley-Davidson store on Research Way, with a host of events including a barbecue and an appearance by Dustin Miller, a Gardnerville resident who has been an ESPN X Games participant in motocross.

Miller will be on hand both Friday and Saturday.

In addition, the motorcycle shop will have a Harley-Davidson “demo truck” on display, showcasing Harley-Davidson goods.

There will also be an all-girl Led Zeppelin tribute band, Miss Led, on hand, a barbecue and “a killer lemonade stand guy,” said Maya Keller, general manager of Carson City Harley-Davidson.

Admission to events this weekend are free, though there are fees for food and drink, Keller said.

“It’s gonna be a lot of fun,” Keller said. “You can expect a lot of good times, good people and good bikes. Our motto is, the party’s always in Carson.”
