Strings in Schools presents concert

Strings in the Schools, Carson City Symphony’s after-school program, will present a concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 1 at the Plaza Conference Center, 211 E. Ninth St., Carson City.

About 80 string players, including Carson City public-, private-, and home-schooled students, directed by Sue Kitts will perform several pieces from classics to folk and fiddle tunes. The concert features beginning violins in grades two to five, pre-orchestra violin ensemble, and youth orchestra for more advanced students of all ages and adult mentors.
