Two of six suspects ordered held without bail in temple firebombing
RENO, Nev. – Two of six people accused of firebombing a Reno synagogue have been ordered held without bail pending trial.
U.S. Magistrate Robert A. McQuaid Jr. on Monday agreed with prosecutors who argued that Daniel Austin McIntosh, 19, and Carl Barry DeAmicis, 25, were a flight risk and danger to the community.
The two were arrested last week in Sacramento for the Nov. 30 attack on the Temple Emanu-El. A Molotav cocktail shattered but didn’t break through a window at the temple and damage was minimal.
A Dec. 21 hearing was scheduled for McIntosh and DeAmicis to enter formal pleas.
