Woman hit by car

A woman was taken to Carson-Tahoe Hospital Friday with a bump on her head after being hit by a car at 1:50 p.m. at the intersection of John and Carson streets.

A man in a red Ford pickup truck was cited for suspicion of failing to yield to a pedestrian and driving without a license.

Deputy Matt Putzer said it is unlikely the collision resulted in any significant injuries.

“He was going about 1 mph when he hit her,” he said.

Putzer said the man was looking the wrong way while attempting to make a right turn from John Street onto Carson Street.
