Harry Hardy Williamson Sr. U.S. Veteran

August 20, 1930 - July 21, 2021

Resident of Gardnerville, NV Harry, 90, passed away peacefully at home after a full & active life.

Harry was independent, strong, loving & loyal; welcoming adventure. Born in Eureka, CA, Harry wed his high-school sweetheart, Naoma Sue Scoggin, in 1951 and enlisted in
the Air Force, becoming a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Harry, Sue and their 2 sons, Harry Jr. & Mark, then moved to Concord, CA where Harry joined the Concord PD, working from 1958-1986 (Badge 26), retiring as a Lieutenant. He also served as Interim Chief of Police in Brentwood in ‘69 and graduated the FBI Academy in ‘86. Harry was an example and inspiration to us all.Harry and Sue loved traveling, joining friends crabbing in Oregon & salmon fishing in Alaska. They also planted a 1,300-tree olive grove to supply family & friends with olive oil.

After Sue passed in 2016, Harry moved to be near family, but continued his love for fitness and travel, flying to Greece for a family wedding in 2019 and, in the month before his passing, flew to Alabama to see his great-grandchildren and then took a 2,100-mile trip with a
classic car group in his ‘39 Pontiac Touring Sedan.

Harry devoted himself to family, including sons Harry Jr. (deceased) and Mark (Leslie), grandchildren Brandon (Mary Crawley), Jessee Fordham (Traver) and Ryan,
and great-grandchildren Amabelle & August, as well as a niece and several nephews, including Mike Hackett and Brad Williamson (Cheri) and great-nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Harry’s Life will be held at Sacramento Valley Nat’l Cemetery,
5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, CA (707- 693-2460) on Sept. 6 at 11:30am, followed by lunch.
