Ruby “Miss Ruby” Dell Frenzi

July 20, 1950 - August 5, 2021

Ruby Dell Frenzi “Miss Ruby” received the goal of her faith and salvation of her soul as she entered eternity on August 5, 2021 while peacefully sleeping.

Ruby was born July 20, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Dell Frenzi and Laura Stokley. As a child she moved from Alamo, Nevada to Bishop, California where she graduated high school and worked at local pre-schools. She was hired as an Operator for the Contel phone company where she excelled in her career. In 1979, she transferred to the Gardnerville office where she made her home. In 1987 she answered the call to quit her corporate job and provide childcare to her community. During this time, she raised many children and is well known throughout Douglas County for serving families in this capacity. She returned to childcare
when she worked for Main Street Pre-school and more recently working at Walmart as a clerk.

She faithfully attended the Assemblies of God Church where she taught Sunday school, led Vacation Bible School, served on the church board, and occasionally sang special songs for the congregation. For the past 25 plus years she has attended High Sierra fellowship where
she relentlessly volunteered in the High Sierra Fellowship Food Pantry as well as the “Reach for Joy” ministry, which is a community outreach ministry that aims to provide for the less fortunate within our community.

She was preceded in death by her father Dell Frenzi, mother Laura Stokley, brother Raymond Frenzi, and sister Darla Frenzi.

She leaves behind her cousin Robyn Radig. While she leaves no other blood relatives, she does leave behind many close friends who have become more than family including: Hollie and Bill Harvey (Minden) and their children Madison and Joel who were Grandchildren to
Ruby; and Tammy Vassar (Reno) and her daughter Olivia.

Her legacy lives on in the countless number of children who she poured into throughout her life. If you were fortunate enough to know Ruby, you know she deeply loved all of her children and their parents and will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Ruby’s life will be held at High Sierra Fellowship in Gardnerville, on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 1:00 PM with tea and appetizers following. In lieu of flowers her family requests a donation to the Reach for Joy ministry at High Sierra Fellowship in Ruby’s name.

Final arrangements were in the trusted care of Autumn Funerals and Cremations
