Jeannine Madson Bryan

September 26, 1936 - July 16, 2021

Jeannine passed away peacefully on July 16, 2021, at Renown Hospital in Reno.

She was born in Brighton, Col., to Marie and Edwin Zeschin. She was the third of six children. Jeannine attended Zion Lutheran School, which her grandfather founded, for 8 years before graduating from Brighton high School. She then went on to Chicago to study nursing at Walther Memorial Hospital. She graduated with a degree as a Registered Nurse. After graduation, she returned to Greeley, Colorado., and worked as an RN. In 1961, she moved to Aberdeen, Wash., and lived there for three years. She then returned to Greeley for a year before moving and settling in Carson City, Nevada., in 1965, where she worked as an RN, a CNA instructor and a Personnel Director at Carson Tahoe Hospital until she retired in 1995.

She married Clinton Bryan in 1991 and moved to Woodfords, Calif., where she resided until she moved back to Carson City in 2001. In 2006 she moved to Dayton, Nev., where she lived until her passing. Jeannine loved the outdoors and traveling. She traveled to Maui, Hawaii, to ride bicycles around the island; she hiked around Switzerland and the Swiss Alps, took a motorcycle trip through Mexico, traveled to Paris, Germany, France and surrounding countries and backpacked all through the Sierra Nevada. Her many hobbies included snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snow camping, fly fishing, hunting, gardening, oil painting, sewing, doll making, cooking and baking. Jeannine loved her family and spending time with them was one of her true joys.

She is survived by son Barry (Wendy) Madson; daughter Chauna (Robert) Renaud; grandchildren: John Renaud, Rachel Guthrie, Max Madson, and Jake Madson; sister Geneve (Bruce) Hoffman; brother Lawrence (Janet) Zeschin; sister in law Rosie Zeschin and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clinton Bryan; mother Marie Zeschin; father Edwin Zeschin; and brothers Lamont Zeschin, Dale Zeschin and Gerald Zeschin.

A Memorial service will be held August 6th at 11a.m. at Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church, 3680 S. U.S. 395, Carson City, NV.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be given to the Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church.
