James Dylen Rowen

James Dylen Rowen, loving Son, Brother, Nephew, Grandson, Friend, has been called home far too soon. James passed away November 17, 2021, in Gardnerville, Nevada. He was a sweet soul who paid special attention to everyone he met. James recently moved to Gardnerville from Ohio with his family. He was in his senior year at Douglas High School and worked at our local Starbucks. James recently celebrated his 18th birthday in October. Born and raised in Ohio, James’ nickname was “Jamie Bear”, a term of endearment given to him by his mom because of his sunshine smile and kind heart. He adored the game of football and played starting positions for Little Tanks and his high school home team, Unioto Tanks. James had a love for vintage cars and had hoped to be a diesel mechanic. He had just purchased a 1969 Cadillac and was so proud of his vanity plate “Grizlee”. After high school graduation, James was looking forward to a cross-county road trip with his dog, Bear, to visit all his pals in Ohio. He was a tender-hearted kid who loved his family and friends. James is survived by his Dad, Mom, Brother, Grandparents, several Aunts and Uncles (including Aunt Tabby), and countless Cousins who loved him very much.

The celebration of life is planned for Friday, December 17, 6pm at Shadow Mountain Church in Gardnerville and will be live streamed at www.SMChurch.net.

In lieu of any kind gestures in James’ memory, the Rowen family could really use help with medical expenses. Medical insurance was not in place prior to James’ illness. Donations can be made via GoFundMe or through Shadow Mountain Church in Gardnerville, NV. The family would be ever so thankful for your love and support.
