Kristine Darlene Draper

December 28, 1973 - December 18, 2021

Kristine was born in Reno and raised in Douglas County. She attended Douglas High School.

Our family’s hearts are broken at the loss of our beloved family member. Kristine’s lifelong struggle with mental illness is over and she is now in the loving care of our Lord and will be made whole again.

Her family is grieving her loss and will cling to their special memories of her.

Her brother remembers her “wicked sense of humor” with which she often entertained family. Her laugh was infectious and unmatchable.

Her sister expressed her sentiments in the following excerpt - “when death takes my hand, I will hold you with the other and promise to find you in every lifetime........till then my dearest sister, fly free into an unbounded eternity. May all the dreams you dreamed you’d be, find their way to you at last!”

And from her parents - Kristine, the cards were stacked against you from the beginning, but we loved you deeply and you will live on in all our hearts. Until we meet again, our dearest daughter.

Kristine’s life ended suddenly and tragically. She was the victim of a fatal hit and run as she was crossing the street in Reno in the early evening.

She is survived by her son Nathan, her parents Wayne and Sandie Draper, her brother Alan (George), her sister Carrie (Denise), her nieces Cassie and Debbie, and her nephew Cole.

There will be a private memorial service at a later time.
