Andrew "Andy" Van Sickle U.S. Veteran

May 13, 1940 - January 8, 2023

Andy went home to our Savior in the early morning hours on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023. He was 82.

Andy was born in Pasadena, CA, on May 13, 1940. He went to Lincoln High School in Lincoln, NE.

In 1958, Andy enlisted in the US Navy for four years. He was a Radioman stationed in the Bahamas. He was honorably discharged in 1962.

After returning home from the Navy, Andy and a high school buddy set out on a road trip that landed him in the Bay Area in CA. This is where he met his beautiful wife, Bev. Andy and Bev were married for 59 years.

Andy was a Bricklayer and was a member of the San Jose Bricklayers Union. He was also a Bricklayer in Lake Tahoe, while they lived there (1976 – 1979). When they returned to Campbell, CA, he stared his own business, Andy’s Masonry.

Andy and Bev moved to Carson City in 1997, where they have enjoyed their retirement.

Andy loved to play pool and drink beer. He played on the local pool league. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, darts and keno. He also really loved going to Hawaii with Bev, which they did yearly until recently. He was also a life long member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge (Campbell, CA) and he was a volunteer driver for RSVP of Carson City, NV.

Andy is survived by his wife, Bev, his daughter, Diane Van Sickle (Don), his son, Gary Erickson (Barb), five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one on the way.
