Maureen Ann Darcy Brower

August 8, 1947 - March 3, 2023

Maureen Ann Darcy Brower was born in Lakehurst, New Jersey on August 8, 1947. She went home to be with our Heavenly Father on March 3, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father William Edward Darcy, mother Constance (Connie) Hall Darcy, and brother William R. Darcy, Jr. She is survived by her niece Sarah Darcy Garber (Jeff), and great nephew Winston Garber. Maureen was a woman of great faith, with a heart as big as Life! She was co-owner and Vice President of Brower Printing Company in Las Vegas from 1980-1996. She served the people of Nevada in a variety of ways and is listed in the 1995 directory of Distinguished Women of Southern Nevada. She was elected Assemblywoman in Las Vegas for District 3 in the 1995 Legislative session, followed by serving as a lobbyist for several organizations. She was the Government Affairs Coordinator for WestCare Foundation; she was the Director of Advocacy and Communications for the American Heart Association; the Director of Government Relations for Wadhams & Akridge;, the Director of the Governor’s Las Vegas Office in the Office of the Governor, and a Political and Legislative Advocate for the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association. Maureen served as the Attaché for Senator James Settelmeyer in the Nevada Assembly and Senate. Beginning in 2015, she served in the Secretary of State’s office, after working on the Secretary of State’s successful campaign. Maureen volunteered at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community, where she was a member, and served in several children’s religious education programs. Maureen loved being with the children! Her heart of love and joy will be greatly missed by many.

A Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be held at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community, on March 28, 2023, at 11:00am, 3000 N. Lompa Lane, Carson City, NV.
