Susan Kay Williamson passed away peacefully in her home on April 10, 2025. She was born on January 30, 1952, a twin, to loving parents Dave and Othrine Warne in Reno, NV. She is survived by her beloved husband Phil, her loving children Jeremiah and Maggie, her siblings Jim and Janet, and her grandchildren she so adored, Ansel and Elena.
Susie, as she was affectionately known by most, was shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey here on earth was marked by love, compassion, joy, and fun. She loved her family, her friends, Lake Tahoe, music, and practical jokes. Her smile and laughter could light up a room, and she was often the life of the party. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her kind and caring nature.
Susie was the most loving wife and mother you could ever ask for. Her caring extended far outside her family as well, as she took care of many kids of the Carson Valley in her 25-year long career as a Playground Aide. She touched the lives of so many in this capacity and will be long remembered for her service to the community.
Those who knew Susie will remember her for her infectious smile and laughter, her love of Lake Tahoe, her practical jokes, her fun and loving nature, and her general love for life. She had a rare gift for seeing the best in every situation and person, leaving a lasting impact on those of us lucky enough to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lake Tahoe over the summer. For details send an email to celebration@tutamail.com.
Although Susie is no longer physically with us, her spirit and her memories will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth with her legacy of love, kindness and. compassion in all that we do.
