Jeff Remington

June 1, 1977 - January 9, 2025

Funeral services to honor and celebrate the life of Jeff Remington will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, at the Elko Convention Center in Elko, NV. Following his celebration of life, a lunch will be provided.

Jeff passed away at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, UT, on January 9, 2025; although he had been battling Acral Melanoma Cancer for almost four years, in the end, it wasn’t cancer that took him; it was heart failure from the medication he was taking to help prolong his life. His wife Stormy was by his side. He was born in Reno, NV, on June 1, 1977, to Dennis Remington and Katharine DiSalvo. He was their only child together. Jeff graduated from Douglas High School in Gardnerville, NV, in 1995. After high school, he found his passion for car stereos with Exotic Car Audio and Unique Audio, both in Carson City, NV. Then, he started his own business, Remington Auto Works & Audio Image, in Wells, NV. He began his lifelong career with UPS in 2001, he had the honor of delivering in the great towns of West Wendover, NV and Wendover, UT. His first marriage was to Amber Peavey. They had two children together, Rowan and Tegan. He then met his life partner, Stormy Ottley, who married in June 2013. This union added two more children to his world, Jordan and Skye. What a beautiful, blended family.

Jeff has always been a car enthusiast, owning several classic cars throughout his life. In 2011, Rides & Rods was born in Elko, NV. Jeff and Stormy, with the help of great friends, lots of family, and the support of so many in his community, have made the car show into something much more than they ever thought it could be. So successful, it was absolutely one of his proudest accomplishments. He truly enjoyed being active in his community. He was on the Wells Boys & Girls Club board since 2015, participated actively in all their fantastic fundraisers in Wells and Elko, and had a significant presence with Stormy in anything that Zero Suicides of Elko County did.

His loved ones who preceded him in death and influenced his path are his Grandpa Bennie DiSalvo, Grandma Sandra Martin, Grandpa Elton Remington, Grandma Ann Lundin, and father-in-law, Tib Ottley.

Loved ones who will dearly miss Jeff until they meet again are his wife Stormy Remington, son Rowan Remington, daughter Tegan Remington, daughter Jordan Hoover, son Skye Carter-Ottley, his father Dennis Remington, his mother Kit DiSalvo and Jeff Davis, his brother Wil and Connie Orrock, nephews Dante and Lucca, his sister Theresa and Tyrel Dressler, his sister-in-law Kendall and Matt Fessenden, nieces Lyrik and Ryleigh, nephew Brooks and his two Mother-in-laws Tammy Pirtle and Diana Ottley. He will also be missed by MANY aunts, uncles, cousins, great friends, and the amazing community surrounding us.
