Roxie Anna Rose Wassman

March 24, 1953 - January 19, 2025

Roxie Anna Rose Wassman was born on March 24, 1953, in Yuba City, California and died at home on January 19, 2025, in Lihue, Hawaii.

Ms Wassman attended Barry Elementary School in Yuba City and was a 1971 graduate of Yuba City High School. After high school, she attended a modeling school in Santa Rosa and then moved to Sacramento in 1973 to give modeling a try before she embarked on a career in law enforcement in Nevada starting in Incline Village and later in Carson City with the sheriff's department.

Following her retirement from the Carson City Sheriff's Office, she moved to Hawaii on the island of Hawaii, where she owned and managed an apartment building, and where she met her husband, Kimo Wassman.

Following the death of her father, George William Rose Sr in 2008, she moved back to Yuba City, to care for her mother, Winnie Opal Probst Rose. After the death of her mother in 2013, she and Kimo moved back to Hawaii, this time to Lihue, on the island of Kauai.

Roxie loved all animals, but especially cats. And she was deeply loved by her family and friends, including her grade school friends, Candy Kodama, Patti Herman, and Holly van Kleeck, who each thought of her as her sister.

Ms Wassman is survived by her husband, Jon Kimo Wassman, her brother George William Rose Jr, her niece Christy Lewis and her grand-nephew Anthony Lewis, and many Probst family cousins.

Ms. Wassman requested no ceremonies for her passing. Her ashes will be spread on the beach where she and Kimo spent many happy mornings together.
