Peter Damian Sinnott
August 3, 1949 - December 21, 2024
Peter Damian Sinnott passed away peacefully on December
21, 2024, surrounded by family in Carson City, Nevada. He
was 75 years old. Known for his kindness, wisdom, and quick
wit, Pete was deeply loved by his family and friends. Born
in Pennsylvania, Pete moved to Carson City in the 1960s
with his parents and 4 siblings, thus beginning his lifelong
connection with the West. He found joy, awe, and inspiration
in nature. Pete loved spending time outdoors, breathing fresh
air, and exploring the path less traveled. A man of strong
faith, Pete lived his life rooted in values of compassion,
encouragement, and service. Although he worked incredibly
hard his whole life, he prioritized his family, his community,
and the people he coached. An accomplished and passionate
runner, he found great joy in coaching high school crosscountry. He dedicated himself to helping others grow and instilling values of hard work, resilience, and self-confidence. His ability to make everyone feel seen and valued, along with his deep curiosity and love for life, left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. He will be sorely missed. Pete’s legacy will live on through the lives he touched, the lessons he imparted, and the communities he built
