Linda Arreola, a sophomore at Carson High School, receives her schedule from Gavin Ward, school vice principal, Tuesday, as classmates await their turns. Among courses listed for Arreola were algebra, psychology, history and musicianship in strings and wind ensemble. Her instruments are violin and trumpet.
