Carson volleyball beats Wooster in four

The Carson High volleyball team made it through the classic “sandwich” match on Thursday in a 25-15, 26-28, 25-18, 25-18 win at Wooster on Thursday.
Carson was coming off a five-game win over Sierra League power Manogue on Tuesday and has another huge match against Damonte Ranch at Morse Burley Gym this Tuesday. With a win againt Damonte, the Senators will be right in the thick of the race in the Sierra League.
Wooster was able to take advantage of eight service errors by Carson to win game two.
“They came out and played well and we made some mistakes and they took advantage of them,” Carson coach Justin Malley.
“We played good enough to win. We had spots of great play and we had spots of mental lapses. We definitely didn’t play as well as we did the other night but we didn’t play horribly.”
Kendra Krupp had one ace, one block, 10 digs and 24 assists, Kailey Taylor had nine kills, one ace and one block, Breanna Anderson had five kills and 10 digs, Samantha Hoch had six kills, Danae Eckart had two kills, one ace and 12 digs, Cameo Lomorri had six kills, six digs and three aces, Mavil Diaz had one ace and 14 digs, Shannon Earwood had one block, 10 digs and 20 assists and Brittney Sly had four kills, Nikki Keller had six kills, five blocks, one ace and 15 digs, Nikki King had 10 kills, two aces, one block and 15 digs and Elysse Virden added one kill for Carson.

The Senators improved to 11-0 in league, beating the Colts 25-10, 25-11.
Alyson Christl paced Carson with three kills, six aces and two assists.
Kristalei Wolfe added two kills, three aces and nine assists, Sarah Luchina had two digs and two assists and Angela Augusta contributed three aces and one kill.
Taylor Goodale, Laura Mohlenkamp, Erin Bailey, and Allison Vondrak each added one kill and Lisa Rogers and Christa McGahuey chipped in one block apiece for the Senators.
