The Carson High wrestling team warmed up for its showdown with arch-rival Douglas with a 78-4 win over Wooster on Saturday at home.

Carson (11-0, 6-0 in the Sierra League) won five of the six matches wrestled and all five of its wins came by pin. Owen Craugh (103 pounds), Travis Lamborn (140), Loren Wooldridge (160), Chris Ceccarelli (189) and Nick Shine (215) all won by pin. The only loss for the Senators came at 119 where freshman Kyle Banko lost to one of the state’s top wrestlers, Rodney Stivers, 17-5.

Robbie Bozin (112), Eric Aguilera (125), Kevin Riggin (130), Ahron Osheroff (135), Micah Whitcome (145), Jonas Schenzel (152), Joe Roman (171) and Jason Klug (heavyweight) all won by forfeit. Carson will face the Tigers at Douglas at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
