CFB: Montana prep QB commits to Nevada
BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) – A Montana high school star quarterback has committed to play at the University of Nevada-Reno, according to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle.
Bozeman High School went 13-0 with Tanner Roderick and won its first state championship since 1917.
Roderick threw for 2,457 yards and 28 touchdowns this season and rushed for 1,913 yards and 23 scores. He broke school records in all four of those categories.
Roderick told the Bozeman Daily Chronicle that he visited Reno over the weekend and told the coaching staff Sunday of his decision.
He says the Wolfpack’s modified shotgun spread offense suits him.
The Wolfpack went 12-1 this season and won the Western Athletic Conference title.
