Malley stepping down at Carson vball coach

Nevada Appeal Staff Report

Carson High varsity volleyball coach Justin Malley will not return next year.

Malley turned in his resignation to school officials on Friday after three years on the job. Malley guided the Senators to third-place finishes in the Sierra League in 2008 and 2010. Carson reached the regional semifinals this season, losing to Douglas, the eventual state champion.

“I have no plans/intentions to take a position at another school,” Malley said. “I will be remaining active in the local volleyball community.”

Malley was one of the organizers of Capital City Volleyball Club, which has since become Silver State Volleyball Club.
