Game Notes: This could be a preview of a first-round game at the upcoming WAC Tournament. Nevada should have swept the three-game series in Honolulu, droping 5-4 and 5-3 decisions … Daly, who starts the second game, tossed a complete-game 1-hitter last weekend against Division II Hawaii-Hilo … The Rainbows have fared well away from home, posting a 9-8 record … Hernandez currentyly has a career-best eight-game hittkng streak, while Catricala has a four-gamer with DuPree and Christensen on three-game streaks …Kort and Krukow have current five-game hitting streaks, while Ciarlo and Rodriguez have hit in four straight. Rodriguez has actually hit in 10 straight WAC games … Nevada is second in teh WAC in hitting (.311) and fourth in pitching (4.66 ERA) … Nevada pinch-hitters are hitting .308, led by Hale, who is 5-for-10 off the bench … Nevada leads the all-time series against Hawaii 22-19.
