Game Notes: Konrad Schmidt has hit in eight consecutive WAC games and is .377 average is fourth in the WAC overall … Shaun Kort, who is is tied for eighth in the WAC with seven multi-RBI games, is tied for eighth in hits (48) and first in triples (3). The last stat is a testament to his power, because Kort is one of the slower starters in Nevada’s line-up … Rodriguez is the WAC’s active leader in wins (27), innings pitched (356 1/3) and strikeouts (300) … Nevada had its 11-game home winning streak snapped last Thursday against Fresno State, and is 3-4 in its last seven games … The Spartans are 6-1 in their last seven games … SJSU hit .371 in its three-game series against Hawai’i … McKimmy was a teammate of Kyle Howe in junior college … Ryan Angel has not made an error in his last 247 chances dating back to 2005.
