Nevada Appeal staff report

Jordan Carolina takes the ball to the basket against Colorado State.

Despite its continued winning ways, the University of Nevada men's basketball team continued its downward trend in this week's Associated Press poll.

The Wolf Pack, 19-1, fell from No. 7 to No. 8 in the poll released on Monday morning. Kentucky moved ahead of Nevada at No. 7 in the poll. The top eight teams in the poll in order are Tennessee, Duke, Virginia, Gonzaga, Michigan, Michigan State, Kentucky and Nevada.

The Wolf Pack will play at UNLV at 8 p.m. Tuesday in a game to be televised by ESPN2.

Nevada, though, did remain No. 7 in the USA Today Coaches poll.
