RENO — The Carson High School boys basketball team sustained a heartbreaking 48-47 loss to Reno High on Saturday.

Asa Carter scored 13 points for the Senators.

Dayton falls

Marcos Saylor scored nine points, Jon Joyner had eight points and Jackson Walker added five points in Dayton’s 54-27 loss to Elko.

Yerington beats Incline

Koby Foster scored 20 points to lead Yerington to an 82-69 win over Incline on Friday.

Yerington had 30 assists as a team with five players posting four or more assists (Dakota Aiazzi 5 and Matt Brannan, Foster, Daniel Sciarani and Bryan Ramirez all with four. Ramirez also scored 14 points, Hartley Preston had 15 points, Brannan had six rebounds and four steals, Aiazzi had seven rebounds and Sam Hammond added nine rebounds, including an impressive seven on the offensive boards.


Dayton falls

Elvia Diaz had three points and nine rebounds, Angela Sikora had five points and four rebounds and Makayla Olson added four points for Dayton in its 54-13 loss to Elko.
