Dayton moves into first
DAYTON — Riley Fetters scored in the first half off a rebounded shot from Victor Gomez to give the Dust Devils a 1-0 win and possession of first place in their division.
“This was a very physical game, not our best performance but the important thing is that we won,” said Luis Melgarejo, Dayton head coach. “Our goalie (Gabriel Dums) had some important saves that helped us stay in the lead.
“We were also defensively strong with Jorddy Diaz, Marco Torres, Johnny Torres and Bryan Aguilera.
“We have to keep working hard and not get overconfident to maintain our position on the top of the table.”
