Seven Carson High baseball players were named all-league in a vote of Division 1 coaches recently.

The voting was done after the regular season, but the team is not allowed to be released until the state tournament is over.

Bryce Moyle, Carson’s wily left-handed pitcher, was the only first-team selection. He compiled a 6-2 record with a 3.23 ERA. In 52 innings, he allowed just 46 hits and struck out 63 hitters.

Named to the second team were second baseman Conner Pradere, Kyle Krebs and Josiah Pongasi.

Krebs was chosen as a utility player. He hit .420 with a homer and 20 RBI, and he was also 2-2 on the mound. Pradere hit .301 with 16 RBI and 11 stolen bases. Pongasi batted .330 with 13 RBI and nine stolen bases.

Brandon Allen, Terek Been and John Holton were named to the second team. Allen hit .340 with a homer and 26 RBI, Holton batted .317 with 19 RBI and Been drove in 12 runs to go with his .294 average.

As expected, Bailey Allen was Carson’s only first-team selection.

Allen batted .600 with 12 RBI and 12 extra-base hits to lead an inexperienced Senators squad.

Freshmen Lauren Lemburg and Camiell Simpson were honorable mention picks. Lemburg hit .298 with nine RBI and Simposon, the starting catcher, batted .292 with a homer and five RBI.
