Douglas feasted on the left side all night, scoring nearly a game’s worth of kills there, 23 to be exact, on its way to a 25-15, 25-23, 25-14 win over Carson Tuesday night in Minden.

Williams finished with 10 kills and tandem left-side hitter Jourdan Burke put away 12 more to lead the Tigers in the win.

Keller came up with a big block, Earwood and Keller teamed up on another kill, Eckhart had another ace and Earwood found Nicole Carlevato for a kill to complete a 6-0 run. The run brought Carson within two and forced a Douglas timeout.

Douglas came out with a kill from Waggoner off a Mitchell assist to spark an 8-0 run to end the game without allowing another point from the Senators.

Carson held the advantage through most of the middle of Game 2 and appeared ready to take the game after Douglas sent the ball into the net, giving the Senators a 23-22 lead and the momentum.

Carson was called for an error on the next point and Mitchell sent it outside again where Burke put the match away 25-23.

The Senators were still riding a fairly heavy dose of the momentum, however, working out to a quick 5-1 lead in Game 3 and pushing it to 8-3 on a run highlighted by a block from Eckart.

Carson sent the ball short on the next point however and Douglas launched an impressive 17-1 run to push the score to 20-9.

During the run, Douglas mixed up its inside and outside attack while getting six kills from Burke, two from Waggoner and one from Mitchell.
