Tigersharks shine in own meet

Matt Grunert, Kevin Dyer, Jamie Engan, Garrett Clayton, Tallon Rauch and Abby Niehoff have all won titles so far for the Carson Tigersharks in their own Winterfest at the Carson Aquatic Center.

Clubs from the Northern Nevada and Northeast California areas are competing in the event.

Niehoff has been a triple winner so far, while Grunert and Rauch have been double winners.

Grunert won the 15-18 boys 400-yard individual medley in four minutes, 35.16 seconds and the 200 I.M. in 2:09.14.

Niehoff won the 13-14 girls 1,000 freestyle in 10:22.13, the 200 free in 2:01.02 and the 200 I.M. in 2:19.65. Dyer won the 15-18 boys 1,000 free in 10:10.92.

Clayton won the 15-18 boys 100 breaststroke in 1:07.70.

Engan won the girls 15-18 200 free in 1:57.50. Tallon Rauch won the boys 8 and under 50 breaststroke in 57.37 and the 50 backstroke in 45.16.
