City, state and federal offices will be closed Monday in observance of Labor Day.
Most banks will be closed. The Bank of America inside Raley's supermarket on Carson Street will be closed Monday. However, it will be open Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
No mail will be delivered Monday and all postal branches will be closed. The U.S. Post Office branch inside the Super Kmart on North Carson Street will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
Garbage collection from Capital Sanitation will be on its normal schedule Monday. The only holidays that affect its scheduling are Christmas and New Year's Day.
The Carson City, Douglas County, Virginia City, Dayton, Silver Springs, Yerington and Fernley senior centers will be closed.
The Nevada Appeal's office also will be closed Monday, but the newspaper will be delivered Monday morning.
