On Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, Roger passed away peacefully at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center from a heart attack.

Roger and his wife of 57 years, Jeanette moved from California to Carson City in July 1989, where he worked as a screw machine operator. He married Jeanette on April 23, 1951, and they had two children Teri and Roger Jr. Roger was a Journeyman Machinist, Airplane mechanic, and pilot. He was an avid bowler and loved all sports. Roger was in the U.S. Army and served in Korea for three years as a surveyor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Roger Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette; daughter, Teri (Hans) Kaelsson of Dayton; granddaughter, Katrina (Brandon) Seevers of Dayton; grandson Nick Ramiraz of Reno; sister-in-law Lois Gallina of Carson City; great-grandson Quinton Ramiraz of Reno; and his beloved dog, Mitzy.

He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Funeral services will 11:30 a.m., Tuesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. Inurnment will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the Morris family or the Heart Association.
