Assembly Speaker Barbara Buckley, D-Las Vegas, will meet with the Carson City Chamber of Commerce on Monday to discuss ways to overhaul the state's financial structure.
Buckley has already held town hall meetings in Reno and Las Vegas to get public ideas on what changes can be made to provide Nevada with a more stable revenue stream and what needs the state has financially. She said she is looking for ways to eliminate the "boom-and-bust revenue cycles that have become increasingly pronounced over the last two decades."
She said after the Carson City meeting, she will meet with the Nevada Subcontractors Association in Las Vegas on Oct. 14 and the Nevada Development Authority on Nov. 4.
She said she also plans meetings in rural communities later this month.
