Mike Freeman and Anna Erickson were married Aug. 13, 2011, at the home of Rich Lucas in Montclair, Calif., with a reception following.
Mike is the son of Lyle Freeman and Ellen Lucas of Gardnerville. He grew up in the Carson Valley attending Meneley Elementary School, and then homeschooling.
He competed for Douglas High School in cross country, skiing, and swimming through 2005. He has a Bachelor's degree from UNR and currently works as an aquatics specialist for the City of Reno and coaches swimming for Damonte Ranch High School and Northern Nevada Aquatics.
Anna is the daughter of Paul and Julia Erickson of Juneau, Alaska.
She has a Bachelor's degree in music education from UNR and currently teaches music at Dodson Elementary in Reno.
The couple enjoyed a "pre" honeymoon in Hawaii and make their home in Reno.
